Usage

This template is a complementary addition for adding underneath the Obsolete template to designate past events or actions which for events or activity from a past period.

Content for which applying the template is appropriate includes events such as long past meetings, hackfests, conferences, bug squashing days, etc. from before some recent period; and includes activities such as long past RFCs. The long past period before some more recent period should probably be expected to be a few years ago and anything included in some currently officially supported long term stable version of Koha should probably be considered recent enough to not be long past and obsolete historical.

Appropriate use should be limited to content which would not become current by updating because it is tied to the past period when the event or activity happened.

Archived content is currently distinguished by searching for pages with the Obsolete template and it is important to not add the Koha historical template without adding the Obsolete template just before the Koha historical template at the beginning of the page.

  • It is also not appropriate for inactive WikiProjects which are dealt with according to the WikiProject Council/Guide; these should be tagged with {{WikiProject status|Defunct}} or {{WikiProject status|Inactive}}.
