Building a Linux Web Kiosk (updated Feb 2014)
Using the Ubuntu Linux operating system, Opera browser, Ajenti browser-based system administration panel, and open source Sanickiosk plugins.
To download a ready-to-install disk image visit sanickiosk.org.
Steps
- Read the documentation online at sanickiosk.org.
- Install Ubuntu Server.
- When installation is complete login and type:
sudo su
wget http://links.sanicki.com/kioskscript -O kioskscript.sh
chmod +x kioskscript.sh
./kioskscript.sh
- Reboot and perform standard configuration steps from the documentation.
- Customize and create an installable disk image according to the directions in the documentation.
