Usage
Specify the title of the superseding page:
{{superseded|Wikipedia:Use common sense}}
 | This Wikipedia page has been superseded by Wikipedia:Use common sense, and it is retained primarily for historical interest. |
This template categorizes pages into Category:Inactive project pages
Parameters and options
To link more than one page, type the intended wording in wikified form:
Script error: No such module "in5".{{superseded|'''[[Wikipedia:Use common sense]]''' and '''[[Wikipedia:There's no common sense]]'''}}
This can also be used to provide more information, such as when an old essay has been replaced by something more important:
Script error: No such module "in5".{{superseded|the guideline '''[[Wikipedia:Fringe theories]]'''}}

To include a shortcut, add a "shortcut" parameter.

To include the date when the page was superseded, use |date= a.k.a. |since= a.k.a. |asof=, using any sane date format:
Script error: No such module "in5".{{superseded|Wikipedia:Notability|date=25 October 2008}}
or
Script error: No such module "in5".{{superseded|Wikipedia:Notability|since=25 October 2008}}
or
Script error: No such module "in5".{{superseded|Wikipedia:Notability|asof=25 October 2008}}
